This week has been a super crazy week with all the things that have gone down here. I was super happy that I was able to call home even after the difficulties with power outages and with the meetings with our mission president. It was super great being able to call home. This week I have been floating around a bunch though. I still do not have a new companion and I don't think that I will get one for like ten days at least until transfers. So I have been working in a lot of areas that I don't know but that is okay. I also got to go eat at a super cool members house but the food was not the best food that I have ever ate. I got to have a nice giant chuck of pig fat with the skin and the hairs still on it. That was so gross. Also our oven has not been cooking well so me and one of the other elders bought some sharbon and cooked with that. Sharbon is just like charcoal and we took our oven outside and cooked like that. It cooked so much better but it took a lot of work.
I got to work my area a couple times this week and we got to take a nice long bike ride to one of our members house for a baptism interview. It was all worth it though because she passed but it is like riding up Y mountain to get to her house on all sand rodes. I was able to baptize her which was super awesome and a great expierence. It was weird though having to baptize her and her daughter in a knee deep river since it has not rained for a while but that is okay. It was such a great expierence and the lady cannot wait for us missionaries to walk with her to church one day with her four kids. She walks it every sunday and it takes her about 3 hours to get there. She is so diligent and I am so happy that I was able to baptize her. I hope that you all have a great week and I love you all. Elder Johnson
